HOW TO GET TO THE PINK PALACE

By Boat

Ferries sail from Italy and mainland Greece throughout the year. In the summer most ships call at Corfu, at other times of the year you may need to take another ferry from Igoumenitsa which is about an hour away on the Greek mainland opposite Corfu.

In Italy ferries leave from Brindisi (7 hours), Bari (9 hours), Ancona (14 hours) and Venice (24 hours). In Greece the port of departure is Patras (7 hours). If the Ferry you take does not make a stop in Corfu get off in Igoumenitsa and from there you can take the local ferry to Corfu (just over an hour).

We meet most ferries arriving from Italy and provide you with free transportation to The Pink Palace. On arrival in Corfu make sure you are ready to disembark quickly as the boats only stop for a few minutes. Look for our representatives or our Pink Palace Bus. If you do not see them please phone Reception on (+30) 26610 53103 / 53104.

The cheapest option is with Agoudimos Lines who accept Eurail and Interail passes. Alternatives are Minoan Lines (free for Eurail and Interail in the low season), Superfast and Blue Star Ferries (accepts Eurail and Interail), Anek Lines (no Eurail or Interail but under 26 discount) and Ventouris (also no Eurail or Interail but under 26 discount).

By Air

There are several flights each day from Athens and Thessaloniki with Olympic Airlines and Aegean Airlines. From March 2009 the budget airline Easyjet will be flying daily to Corfu from Manchester, Bristol as well as the existing service from London. From May until the end of October there are thousands of direct charter flights to Corfu from every European country.

In addition another budget airline, Ryanair, fly all year round from Britain to the Italian cities of Brindisi, Bari, Ancona and Venice - all of which have ferry connections with Corfu.

If you let us know your arrival time we will meet you at the airport. (If you arrive in the evening or at night we would ask you to take a taxi. The fare shouldn't be more than 25 euros.)
